2021 has been a big year for house Shiney and a much better year than 2020.
It was when I was writing the about me page and I thought the addition of a timeline would be a nice way to track all the achievements since I started streaming, that I first realised just how far we have come.

If you would have told me in January that we would be at over 1000 followers in under a year I would not have believed you and yet now I can’t imagine a life without streaming or the amazing new people I have met along the way.

The first time I was really blown away by what the community could do was back in May when I received the first of what would be two stream & life changing donations in a week. Which meant I went from voice on the sofa streaming from a PlayStation, to PC & Camera set up with a capture card. It was a huge change and happened so much faster that I ever anticipated. So thank you Varkanite, I genuinely wouldn’t be in this position now if it wasn’t for your early support. It has meant the world to me, to be able to go self employed and stream full time. My physical and mental health has never been better since becoming my own boss.

We have also found out, I cry VERY easily when you lot are generous. All the hype trains, cheers bits & tips have utterly floored me. I think its clear from the amount of times you have seen me break down now that I am still shocked every time it happens. It is just an incredible feeling to know people find what you do fun, and that we have made a safe space for a lot of folks and that you want to help keep that going.

The other person I need to thank above all others is my love, ShineyDucky. I would not have been able to push as hard or put in as much time and effort if he hadn’t been so supportive (and continues to be). To have someone put so much faith and work into making your goals come true is something that I will always be grateful for and I was SO fucking proud when Duck got affiliate in a week when he started streaming in November. I will admit it hasn’t always been easy, streaming can be all consuming and it was with much love, patience and communication we found a way to balance it all.

Streaming has also enabled me to rekindle my love of reviewing games and I am especially thankful to Keymailer for providing a way for both Jinx and I to be able to write and share new content on a regular basis. Its also with extra special thanks I mention Jinx, who has blown me away with the sheer unprecedented level of support to the channel and to this very website. A partnership I hope will continue in 2022 and beyond. Even if you did make me lose fucking Whamageddon for the first time in 5 years,

I have met some incredible people in the last year and in the craziness of pandemic life you guys have been an amazing social life line. Last Christmas we went on twitch to play Jackbox games so we didn’t feel quite so isolated. This year you guys game to us and it was fucking amazing.
